The Window of Forgiveness

 

“Receive the Holy Spirit.  Whose sin you forgive

are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain

are retained.”  John 20:22-23

 

You are free, My dove!  Fly through the window

  Of forgiveness into My light, My love,

My freedom.  All of your strength I endow

    To let you escape from your narrow house.

  Bid all good-bye.  Come, dwell with Me above.

There, a little faith.  Spread your wings.  Up, now!

  Does not My Passion My love to you prove?

    Or are you so busy, My little spouse?

    Judging all?  No grace of mine can you arouse?

Fly, My dove.  What of My love do you know?

      Time is a dance in which I hold your heart.

      My nature exudes love without your art.

        But with you!  Ah, the glory We can hold!

        Then let go in love.  Oh, My dove, be bold!
